Details about this 2003 Porsche BoxsterHighlights THIS... is a 2003 Porsche Boxster S, finished in Seal Grey Metallic with a black soft top and a black interior. This Boxster is equipped with the desirable 6-speed manual transmission, and its odometer displays approximately 11,800 miles. The attached Carfax history report shows no accidents or mileage discrepancies in this Porsche's past. According to the window sticker shown in the photo gallery, this Boxster S had an original MSRP of $58,360, including $5,995 in options. Factory equipment includes 18-inch Turbo Look II wheels, a power-retractable soft top, leather upholstery, power and heated seats, and a hi-fi sound system. Modifications are limited to the installation of clear side marker lights and aftermarket hood liners under the front and rear hoods. Called 986 internally, the original Boxster was introduced for the 1997 model year as Porsche's long-awaited entry-level model. It was immediately well-received by enthusiasts; some even called it a better platform than the 911 thanks to its mid-mounted engine. On a secondary level, it showed a new side of the company that enthusiasts still enjoy in 2021. The first major update to Porsche's mid-engined "986" Boxster came for the 2000 model year with the introduction of the more powerful Boxster S, which also added a 6-speed manual transmission, larger brakes, and a stiffer suspension. Power comes from a 3.2-liter flat-6 engine, rated at 258 horsepower and 229 lb-ft of torque. Output is sent to the rear wheels via a 6-speed manual transmission.
