With only 46,800 original miles and serial number 12253, this is an amazing classic to add to your personal collection. Sporting a manual transmission, green exterior, black interior and a new black nylon fabric top.
This 1973 beautifully restored Mk.1 is powered by 145 Horsepower, 16 valve 2 liter lotus 907 twin cam engine Fitted to the elite. It has a 7,000 RPM redline, designed by Donald Healey and built by Jensen. There were only 3,846 manufactured and 1,200 imported to the USA for this model year. The front end has new upper and lower ball joints, in addition to a new brake system master cylinder and all four wheels have front disc back shoes.
All new belts and hoses as well as both front floor tubs have been replaced. With a Stromberg carburetors completely rebuilt, new spark plugs and wires, the engine is in impeccable shape.
This restoration also includes, new tires, new carpet, and all minor rust has been removed and all dents straightened. The paint has been restored as well.
More about Jensen-Healey --- The Jensen-Healey (1972–76) is the best-selling Jensen of all time. In total only 10,503 (10 prototypes, 3,347 Mk.1 and 7,146 Mk.2) were produced by Jensen Motors Ltd. in West Bromwich, England.
Launched in 1972 as a fast, luxurious and competent convertible sports car, it was positioned in the market between the Triumph TR6 and the Jaguar E-Type. The 50/50 weight balance achieved by the use of the all alloy Lotus 907 engine led to universal praise as having excellent handling.
This is the only Jensen-Healey Mk.1 registered in Arkansas.
